Naruto Chapter 478

An exciting manga chapter indeed! First we see that Danzou implanted quite a few Sharingan eyes in his arm only then to find out he's also powered his arm up with some of Hashirama's DNA, next he'll be on the steroids!

Hopefully in the next chapter we'll find out what Izanagi consists of.

Jiraiya sets out!

While some people are still pretending to enjoy the episodes even though they know the storyline, I've been up to date with the manga for a while now so the episodes feel just like new!

Jiraiya seems to have set out on a journey that I doubt (I know) won't be easy for the big fella'. He is one of the Legendary Sannin though, so surely he can take care of himself, right? He's only going up against the only know Rinnengan user, the dojutsu that gave birth to the ninja world, who hasn't lost a single fight, ever. Woops, spoiler alert...

It should be an interesting fight to watch animated anyway, later!

Latest Manga

As anyone who has read them will know, unless you don't know what good manga is, the last few Naruto Manga chapters have amazing.

Most of this years manga has made an excellent read but in the latest ones things are really heating up. There are new theories floating about a lot of different parts in the manga, one of which will surely be a theory on what Tobi meant by 'to become whole' when asked about why he was collecting all the tailed beasts. Maybe he does have something to do with Obito, a ridiculous thought I know.

In Sasukes part of the world he is faced up against the Raikage, an extremely powerful ninja that I'm surprised we haven't heard of until now. In the last chapter we saw Sasuke take a heavy blow from the Raikage as he flew through the Amaterasu sheild, undoubtedly causing his arm to be reduced to nothing.

Lets hope this story keeps developing instead of winding down, the last thing we want to see is the end of Naruto!

Naruto Shippuden The Movie - Overview

The world is about to come to an end. An evil has awakened and only a priest has to the power to seal him back up. Neji as Jounin is sent on a mission with Lee, Sakura and Naruto. They must protect the Priest so she can perform the sealing to lock up the demon. The Priest has a vision of Naruto dying and being stabbed in the back by a purple dragon like figure and bleeding with a hole in his body. Naruto become a little scared because he finds out that the Priestess has had 100 visions of people dying or being killed and all of those predictions have come true not one has been wrong. Will Naruto be joining the count of all the dead? Watch it and see. by NejiKaguya

Madara Uchiha vs Pein?

The story is now coming to a point where you are made to wonder who will take charge of the Akatsuki. It is of course going to be one of two, either Nagato with his Pein bodies or Madara so really its a battle between the best Sharingan user and the best Rinnengan user - which is more powerful, Rinnengan or Sharingan?

We only know a little about the Rinnengan so we assume it only has one state and in that state its said to be the most superior of the three Ocular Kekkai Genkai. The Sharingan on the other hand has three main states, normal Sharingan which gives the ability to read movements, copy jutsu and cast genjutsu.

Then there is the Mangekyo Sharingan, aquired by killing somebody close to you. Abilities depend on the user but so far we've seen the Mangekyo giving abilities such as powerful genjutsu, space/time distortion and black flames called the Amaterasu that burn until it consumes the target. The downside to the Mangekyo is that the user eventually ends up blind if they overuse it which brings us on to the next Sharingan level, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

The EMS is aquired when an Uchiha with Mangekyo recieves another Uchiha (who also has Mangekyo) members eyes, this merges the two patterns of these Mangekyo to make one and gives the user 'Eternal Light' meaning the user will not become blind if he uses the Mangekyos abilities a lot. We are told that with the EMS comes many new Mangekyo jutsu so we can only imagine what other abilities Madara has since we've already seen him make any jutsu pass through his body.

From what we've seen I'd like to think that the EMS would prevail over the Rinnengan and unless Naruto kills Nagato in the upcoming manga or the story suddenly ends then I hope we will see a Sharingan vs Rinnengan battle sometime soon!

Kakashi Gaiden - Anime (rumour)

You may have heard people speaking about the brilliant Kakashi Gaiden recently saying that it may be on the cards for the anime. This obviously excites the people who have read Gaiden because its such a great piece of the story and we actually get the see the Yellow Flash, Yondaime himself in action and demonstrating his instant teleportation jutsu! Lets hope they aren't just rumours!

Shippuden 73 - Invasion of Akatsuki

Episode 73 is finally here to end the fillers but I haven't watched it yet so just a brief description. Last week we saw the Akatsuki chasing a Jinchuuriki and this weeks description from Tv.com suggests that they captured her. The episode is titled 'Invasion of Akatsuki' and the description from Tv.com is as follows: Hidan and Kakuzu infiltrate the Fire Temple in an effort to assassinate Chiriku. Shippuden 71 Summary

As the last episode in the Sora filler arc finally dragged its way off our screens we got a glimpse of what should be an exciting few months (at least) with the Akatsuki making an appearance in the closing scenes of ep 71. The episode begins with Naruto trying to control the Kyuubi within him whilst trying to help Sora do the same himself. Meanwhile, Kazuma (Sora's Father) is defeated by Asuma and Sai. Sora then manages to recover from the damage caused by the Kyuubi's chakra and leaves Konoha to travel the world. The closing scenes show a girl - who is revealed to be the two-tailed Jinchuuriki, being chased by the Akatsuki duo Hidan and Kakuzu - roll on next Friday!

Shippuden Fillers :(

The series of Shippuden fillers have been ongoing now for quite a few episodes and we are currently at ep 70. The last of the fillers is confirmed to be episode 71!! The fillers are mainly about a boy named Sora who has powers similar to Naruto's and a mysterious group who want to get rid of the Hokage so that the fire country will only have one ruler. The group want to get a hold of Sora to take advantage of his powers to help with the assassination of the Hokage and the destruction of Konoha, along with an extremely powerful Raiton (lightning) jutsu named 'Limelight' which can reduce a village to ash in a matter of seconds. The fillers occasionally touch on Naruto's Futon (wind) nature but one more week and we will finally see the end of the fillers and some Akatsuki action.

Shippuden 57 Summary (Spoilers)

Naruto continues his Shadow Clone training. Last episode he learned that he has a chakra element which is wind. Which only few Shinobi in the world have. Naruto goes to get tips from Asuma Sensei. Later Naruto has to halt his training to go on a mission. After a long time as well Team 10 goes on a mission for the first time together in a while. Do they still work well as a team after such a long time?

Shippuden 56 Summary (Spoilers)

Naruto returns from his mission from trying to bring Sasuke back again but fails. Kakashi Sensei is now able to leave the hospital while in the hospital he has thought of a way to train Naruto using shadow clones. Naruto is able to create a new technique which would take others years but because of the shadow clones he can cut that into a week. Will Naruto be able to learn a new technique in time for the Akatsuki? Watch the episode and you'll find out.

April Contest

Our first contest has now been and gone and was quite a success with 15 entries, despite claims that the 'best' vid didn't win, all the top four amvs were brilliant and we will have more judges for next week to give more accurate results from now on. Monday 5th of May will see the start of the weekly contests and hopefully things will start to kick off even more, if you have any suggestions for categories like Naruto&Hinata for example, feel free to say so in the chatbox.

Site Trio

As you may know we have other projects line up as well as N-AMVs development which will hopefully see the blog feeding to a larger AMV site. Other works in progress are two sites which will complete the trio and will effectively feed into one another, I should have mentioned this in the post below as there is not much need for a coder in a blog.

Well, its the 22nd of April, and we have exceeded our first target of 5 entries, which was then changed to a target of 10. It seems we have overcome both these targets even with two vids being removed by TV Tokyo on Youtube, so I think we will be going for the big 20 before the end of April.

This week we have made some major and hopefully beneficial changes to the blog, one of them was to change the page layout so it was not auto adjusting and so it stays centered no matter what your screen size, still a few minor probs to root out but we are still working on it. Also next month will hopefully see the 'dawn of a new age' as we start the weekly competitions. Changes coming with the weekly comps. will be that videos will be submitted in a comment on a post entitled 'Entry for this Week' (thankyou Tanera), as opposed to posting the links in the chatbox - this seemed to confuse a lot of people,

Some random news for techies out there about the Internet. It was recently announced that computing engineers are working on something to take over the internet called 'the Grid.' It will apparently have speeds of up to 10,000 times faster than current broadband net speeds meaning you can download enough music to fill your iPod in a matter of seconds and online gaming will be a whole new experience, you will also be able to send holographic images over the Grid (somehow).

the Naruto-Links staff will be focusing on the AMV side of the site from now on as there seems to be a big interest in this area - an AMV site is now on the agenda to follow up this blog as well as other projects. After April if we get enough interest in the AMVs we will be making different sections like action,romantic etc. Also we will be changing the judging for the competitions after April, we will have five judges as well as a voting system.
